Dreams. Having installed over 1,000 pop tops on various Mercedes campers and serviced classic VW pop tops for over 15 years, we are confident that there are few better places to dream away the day.

Build it.
We dreamed of building a pop top for the ID. Buzz and when we got our first ones back in 2024, we knew we had to pursue it. We are working with the global leader in pop tops to bring the best possible pop top to the ID. Buzz. As with all the other vans we have worked on, there will be bad, OK and awesome pop tops. Ours will be awesome and worth waiting for.

Specifics.
We are excitedly now manufacturing pop tops for the ID. Buzz with our partner in Colorado for installation in our Seattle HQ. Priced at $15,995, the pop top installation takes 3 days. Most customers ship their vans to us and then fly out to pick them up and road trip home. We hope to have remote install locations trained in the latter part of 2026.

Some Specifics.
Our pop top design will work with both the panoramic glass roof and the solid roof ID. Buzz vans (we do expect a small additional charge for the latter).
We expect to receive the first production units in late Fall of 2025. Quantities will be very limited and we strongly encourage making a reservation soon to secure a pop top in 2026. Reservation fee is 50% of the $15,995 cost.
The pop top design will closely mirror our very successful Mercedes Metris pop tops with comfy sleeping for two, 3 windows and easy operation via hydraulic struts.
As an integrated top vs. a roof top tent (or similar), the impact to range will be small. Our experience (and wind tunnels) are clear that the addition of things on the roof, that allow airflow under, are the big impact to range. We chose to build an integrated top to mitigate this. Roof top tents are AWESOME, for sure, but they will impact your range.
