    Peace Vans dreams in pop tops - literally. As the largest VW Camper shop in the US, and having delivered over 1000 pop tops on the Mercedes Metris….we know a thing or two about building, installing and maintaining these iconic camper van features.

    Peace Vans worked with the global leader in camper van pop top development to create the perfect pop top for the ID. Buzz. Manufactured in Colorado and installed in our Seattle, WA HQ - the pop top for the ID. Buzz is perfect in so many ways.

  • Specifics.

    We began installing pop tops in the early Spring of 2026 and we have close to 50 on the road with another 50 in the queue. The top provides a very comfy sleeping area for two (43”x78”). Additionally, the pop top allows for significant standing room inside the Buzz. The van tops out at 79” with the top. With it’s aerodynamic shape and the “just looks right” lines, there’s no range in loss and the Buzz is just as cute as ever!! $15,995 plus $1,495 for solid roof vans. Requires 5 business days and takes place at our Seattle, WA HQ (inquire about east coast).

Some Specifics.

Our pop top design will work with both the panoramic glass roof and the solid roof ID. Buzz vans (there is a $995 charge for the latter). Reservation fee is 50% of the $15,995 cost.

The pop top design closely mirrors our very successful Mercedes Metris pop tops with comfy sleeping for two, 3 windows and easy operation via hydraulic struts.

As an integrated top vs. a roof top tent (or similar), the impact to range will be small. Our experience (and wind tunnels) are clear that the addition of things on the roof, that allow airflow under, are the big impact to range. We chose to build an integrated top to mitigate this. Roof top tents are AWESOME, for sure, but they will impact your range.

The total height of the Buzz with the pop top is 79” and the sleeping area up top is 78” by 43”. Very comfy!
